As part of the city’s varied opportunities for employee appreciation, the Employee of the Year program returns for another year. Up to eight team members who have worked to advance the city’s mission and vision statements will be recognized with the coveted Exceptional Employee of the Year Award. Winners will be selected from each of the following work groups, with the exception of the part-time award nominee, who is eligible to win regardless of category:
- Professional – one employee
- Management – one employee
- Technical – two employees
- Administrative – one employee
- Field Operations – two employees
- Part-time – one employee
Winners will receive $200 cash, a designated parking spot and a plaque. Members of the award nomination review team, civil service employees, fire and police civilian employees, as well as directors and above, may nominate other city employees but are not eligible to win. Nominations will be accepted from peers and supervisors from Nov. 12 to Dec. 14.
